Valentine's Day

Other people enjoyed their valentine's day; I had a hard day! Woke up really early in the morning, and rented a car from the Eastern car rental. Then start the flower delivery immediately (its a long journey). I always feel that this fund raising canvassing project is a difficult tusk, too much to do, too little time, manpower and skill. And the basic problem underlying is actually planning/management and our over ambitious. Arggggg we just keep on accepting delivery orders without measuring them with our delivering capacity. (not me, i think i have one of the least orders, no one wants to buy from me..)

Nevertheless, I have went to Hougang, Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, Catholic JC, KK Hospital, Bukit Panjang, Sembawang, Redhill, Whampo, and some other wulu wulu places. Although altogether, we had 3 cars and sufficient drivers, we were unable to deliver on time. There were really really bad cases where the orders were 10 hours late!!! Terrible rite? Some girls were even sound asleep before we managed to sent to the their door step. What to do? Thats the result of poor planning, i dont think there is a specific person be appointed to manage all the orders. Till now, i still do not know how much orders we have to fulfil on that day. Maybe about 60 to 80??

Delivery was not the only problem. Flowers premature dying before the collection, flowers being killed by uncareful hands and legs, and dried to death due to hot weather and dehydration, not enough wrapping papers and side flowers such as statics, baby breathe and sarah leaves, reordered replacement flowers that cut our profit greatly, and even with the replacement flowers there were still not enough of them to complete the orders. Manpower roster unplanned which resulted in unmanned flower collection point. It seemed to have soooo much problems.

But towards the end, its nice! :)
